PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Brittany Johnson is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Brighter Days Mental Health and Recovery Center. She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Walden University and is board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She began her training at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2014. For over 8 years, Brittany has cared for adult patients in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient practices, and corrections. She has dedicated much of her nursing career to serving individuals in the Baltimore City community, which was inspired prior to attending nursing school. “I felt a great connection to many underprivileged residents of the Baltimore City community. I made a promise to myself to become a health advocate within the Baltimore city community to narrow the gaps of health disparities among the underserved population”. Brittany Johnson specializes in behavioral health and treating children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a clinical practitioner, she has gained extensive experience delivering telehealth services patients and educating the community on using telehealth to improve mental health awareness, access to care, and reducing the stigma of mental illness.
